SpongeBob SquarePants was on hand to help cut the ribbon, opening the Nickelodeon Rooms collection in the Omaha location. Later he welcomed more than 3,000 customers at Nebraska Furniture Mart Omaha and Kansas City stores, getting pictures made with him and then they saw the new Nickelodeon Rooms collection. Kids enjoyed seeing SpongeBob in person and loved the furniture. SpongeBob wasn’t able to see all of the kids due to the overwhelming turnout but was able to walk around and greet all of them and let them take pictures on his way back to Bikini Bottom.

SpongeBob was also on hand that weekend to greet kids and take pictures with families from Big Brothers/Big Sisters in Omaha and from the Sunflower House in Kansas City. Everyone received a SpongeBob pillow and goodie bag and enjoyed a great time!
